Orange-y gingerbread cookies
Gingerbread thins called ¡®pepparkakor¡¯ have been a holiday staple in Sweden for centuries. They¡¯re sweet with a nice spice kick, thanks to cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and of course, ginger.
What you¡¯ll need:
175g de farinha

1/4 teaspoon of baking soda

3/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 of ground cloves
60gr room temperature butter
60gr sugar
60ml molasses
2 water spoons
1 grated orange peel

How to make it:
Pour the spices, baking soda and sugar in a bowl. Pour in the water and mix around.

Cut the butter into pieces and add to bowl. Pour in the syrup.

Grate the zest from the oranges. Add to the bowl.

Work in the flour, a little at a time, until the dough is smooth.

Put the dough in plastic wrap and let sit in the refrigerator overnight.

When you are ready to bake the next day, heat the oven to 392¡ãF.

Take out the dough. Break off a little at a time. Roll it thin. Make shapes using pastry cutters.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the cookies on the sheet.

Bake the cookies in the oven for about 6 minutes.
