What is Guaranteed?
The extent of the guarantee given for each product is described alongside each product below. The following description and conditions of the guarantee listed as below are only applicable to products sold at IKEA Hong Kong.

Duration of Guarantee
Each guarantee lasts for the number of years stated against each product below, starting from the date of purchase.

Conditions for the guarantees
The guarantees are valid from the original date of first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales memo or the print-out of Online sales order invoice issued by IKEA Hong Kong is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacements.

Care instructions
To be able to rely on this guarantee you need to follow the specific care instructions for every product.

Everyday quality guarantees

Kitchen

IKEA HK will provide Guarantees to the following kitchen series and service:
? 25-year Guarantee: METOD kitchen series, LAXNE and KASKER custom made worktops
? 10-year Guarantee: Kitchen mixer taps, F?RVARA drawers, UTRUSTA wire baskets, TUTEMO and H?RDA open cabinets
? 2-year Guarantee: TILLREDA appliances
? 6-month METOD kitchen installation guarantee: IKEA kitchen installation service

What is covered under this Guarantee?
? The ¡°25-year guarantee¡± applies to domestic use only and covers structural manufacturing defects in material of the following parts of the METOD kitchen system: cabinet frames, door fronts, legs, cover panels, deco strips, sinks, laminate worktops (except LILLTR?SK and FYNDIG), UTRUSTA hinges, MAXIMERA inside drawers, UTRUSTA shelves of tempered glass and melamine, abnormal colour or shape changes of LAXNE and KASKER custom made worktops.

? The ¡°10-year guarantee¡± applies to domestic use only and covers structural manufacturing defects in materials of the following: All kitchen mixer taps, F?RVARA drawers, UTRUSTA wire baskets, TUTEMO and H?RDA open cabinet.
? The ¡°2-year guarantee¡± applies to domestic use only and covers faults of the TILLREDA appliances, which have been caused by faulty construction or material faults from the date of purchase.
? The ¡°6-month METOD kitchen installation guarantee¡± applies to kitchen installation service and covers the damages of the kitchen series products mentioned above caused by installation.

All guarantees are valid from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on the guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
? Knobs, handles and LILLTR?SK laminate worktop, all products in KNOXHULT and FYNDIG.
? Kitchen series mentioned above that has been stored/installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, for business use, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products.
? Kitchen series mentioned above that has not been maintained in accordance with the Care Instructions stated overleaf and/or maintenance leaflet that accompanies the product.
? Normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, abnormal bending, damage caused by impacts or accidents.
? Kitchen series mentioned above that has not been assembled in accordance with the assembly instructions that accompanies the product.
? Surface damages caused by external factors such as exposure to the sun, external heating, dampness, dust, mites, installation of non-IKEA sinks and taps, or installation of four-head built-in hob into the custom made worktop, etc.
? This guarantee does not apply to bargain items, or any products without the original sales invoice.
? The ¡°6-month kitchen installation guarantee¡± will not cover the installation of LAXNE and KASKER custom made worktops, sinks and taps, or any other works not authorised by IKEA HK.

Sofa and armchair

IKEA HK will provide 10-year Guarantee to the following sofa and armchair series ("this Guarantee").

The following series are covered:
EKEBOL, EKEN?S, EKER?, EKTORP, F?RL?V, GR?NADAL, KARLSTAD, KIVIK, KNISLINGE, LANDSKRONA, NOCKEBY, NOLMYRA, NORSBORG, PO?NG, STOCKHOLM, STOCKSUND, SKOGABY, S?DERHAMN, TIDAFORS, TIMSFORS, STRANDMON, VALLENTUNA, VEDBO, VIMLE
which include armchair, one-seat section, chaise longue, two-seat sofa, two-seat sofa with chaise longue, three-seat sofa, corner sofa and footstool.

which include two-seat sofa only

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects in material of the frame, legs and springs. The guarantee is valid for 10 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

What is not covered under this Guarantee?
? Products that has been stored/installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products.
? Products that has not been maintained in accordance with the Care Instructions stated overleaf and/or maintenance leaflet that accompanies the product.
? Normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, abnormal bending, damage caused by impacts or accidents.
? Products that has not been assembled in accordance with the assembly instructions that accompanies the product.
? Damages caused by external factors such as exposure to the sun, dampness, dust or mites, etc.
? Products that has been placed outdoors or in a humid environment, such as the bathroom.
? Fabric and leather covers, seat and back cushions.
? This guarantee does not apply to bargain items, or any products without the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice.
? This guarantee does not apply to EKTORP TULLSTA, EKTORP JENNYLUND, MUREN, PO?NG cushions, PO?NG children armchair, TIDAFORS sofa-beds and KLIPPAN footstool.

PAX Wardrobe

IKEA HK will provide 10-year Guarantee to PAX wardrobes (¡°this Guarantee¡±)

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers structural manufacturing defects in material of the PAX wardrobes:
? Frames
? Hinged doors and hinges
? Sliding doors and sliding door mechanism
The guarantee is valid for 10 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
? This guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or wrong cleaning products;
? This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents;
? This guarantee does not cover damages caused by external factors such as exposure to the sun, dampness, dust or mites etc;

? This guarantee does not apply to BALLSTAD door and PAX or KOMPLEMENT interior organisers.

Mattress

IKEA HK will provide 25-year Guarantee to following mattresses (¡°this Guarantee¡±)
Spring mattresses: HAFSLO, HAMARVIK, HESSENG, H?V?G, HYLLESTAD, HOKK?SEN, HUSVIKA.
Foam mattresses: MOSHULT, MALFORS, MALVIK.

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers structural manufacturing defects relating to the springs in spring mattress and foam core in foam mattress. The guarantee is valid for 25 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
? Mattress that has been stored/installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products.
? Mattress that has not been maintained in accordance with the Care Instructions stated overleaf and/or maintenance leaflet that accompanies the product.
? Normal wear and tear, body impressions, cuts or scratches, abnormal bending, damage caused by impacts or accidents.
? Damages caused by external factors such as exposure to the sun, dampness, dust or mites etc.
? This guarantee does not apply to bargain items, or any products without the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice.
? This guarantee does not apply to J?MNA mattresses, sofa-bed mattresses, children¡¯s mattresses, cot mattresses, and all mattress pads.

GODMORGON Bathroom system

IKEA HK will provide 10-year Guarantee to GODMORGON bathroom system (¡°this Guarantee¡±)

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers structural manufacturing defects in material of the following furniture, wash-basins, interior fitting and water traps:
? GODMORGON furniture
? GODMORGON legs
? ODENSVIK and HAGAVIKEN ceramic wash-basins and included water trap
? BR?VIKEN crushed marble wash-basins and included water trap
The guarantee is valid for 10 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
? This guarantee does not cover dismantlement, assembly and installation service.

This guarantee does not apply to TOLKEN countertops and GODMORGON storage unit of 3, box with compartments, box with lid, storage with compartments neither to products that have been stored, assembled or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products.
? This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts, scratches or damage caused by impacts or accidents.
? This guarantee does not cover damages caused by external factors such as exposure to the sun or dampness etc.

Bathroom mixer taps

IKEA HK will provide 10-year Guarantee to bathroom mixer taps. (¡°this Guarantee¡±)

What is covered under this Guarantee?
The 10-year guarantee is valid for all bathroom mixer taps at IKEA HK. This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers structural manufacturing defects in materials in all bathroom mixer taps. Our taps are tested well beyond all relevant international standards and we use only top brand components to secure our 10-year guarantee promise. The guarantee is valid for 10 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
? This guarantee does not cover dismantlement, assembly and installation service.
? This guarantee does not apply to OLSK?R mixer tap and filter/aerator.
? Normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts, accidents or waterborne debris. It also does not apply to the filter/aerator which should be cleaned regularly or replaced when worn out. Follow our assembly instructions and care instructions carefully.
? Bathroom mixer taps that has not been assembled in accordance with the assembly instructions that accompanies the product.
? Damages caused by external factors such as exposure to the sun or in corrosive environment.

Bathroom wash-basins

IKEA HK will provide 10-year Guarantee to bathroom wash-basins (¡°this Guarantee¡±)

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This guarantee is valid for all bathroom wash-basins including water trap at IKEA HK. The guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers structural manufacturing defects in material and workmanship in all bathroom wash-basins. The guarantee is valid for 10 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
? This guarantee does not cover dismantlement and installation service;
? This guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored, assembled or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, or cleaned using the wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products;
? This guarantee does not apply if the products have been used for public use or outdoors;
? This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents;
? This guarantee does not cover damages caused by external factors such as exposure to the sun or dampness etc.
? This guarantee does not apply to bargain items, or any products without the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice;
? This guarantee does not apply to TOLKEN or VISKAN countertop.

BEKANT/GALANT

IKEA HK will provide 10-year Guarantee to the following products from BEKANT desk series and GALANT storage system. (¡°this Guarantee¡±):
Table tops, frames, legs, drawer units, storage units, roll-front cabinets, cabinets with sliding doors, file cabinets, wall cabinets with sliding doors, shelf units and add-on units.

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects of the product from BEKANT desk series and GALANT storage system listed above. The guarantee is valid for 10 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
? Products that has been stored/installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products.
? Products that has not been maintained in accordance with the Care Instructions stated overleaf and/or maintenance leaflet that accompanies the product.
? Normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, abnormal bending, damage caused by impacts or accidents.

? Natural difference in colour of the wood veneer.

IKEA HK will provide 10-year Guarantee to MARKUS, VOLMAR and L?NGFJ?LL work chairs (¡°this Guarantee¡°)

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects in material of the frames and moving parts. The guarantee is valid for 10 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original Sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
? Work chairs that has been stored/installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products.
? Work chairs that has not been maintained in accordance with the Care Instructions stated overleaf and/or maintenance leaflet that accompanies the product.

IKEA HK will provide 25-year Guarantee to the SENSUELL and SENIOR cookware series (¡°this Guarantee¡±)

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects of cookware in the SENSUELL and SENIOR series. Provided that our care instructions are followed, we guarantee that our range of SENSUELL and SENIOR cookware products will work as well as they did, subject to normal everyday domestic use (cooking and washing once a day). The guarantee is valid for 25 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product.
In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.
This guarantee will cover:
? We guarantee that the base of the cookware will retain its shape and therefore its heat conducting qualities;
? The guarantee is also valid if you wash your cookware in a domestic dishwasher. (Except for SENIOR series) Cookware made of cast iron should always be washed by hand.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
? This guarantee does not cover changes in the appearance of the cookware unless they have a significant effect on function.

IKEA HK will provide 15-year Guarantee to the IKEA 365+ cookware series (¡°this Guarantee¡±)

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects of cookware in the IKEA 365+ series. This means that, in normal domestic use and provided that our care instructions are followed, the cookware will still work as well as it did during the guarantee period. In this instance, normal use is defined as using an item for cooking and washing it once a day. The guarantee is valid for 15 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.
This guarantee will cover:
? Stability of the base. In other words, the base of the cookware remains flat to conduct heat efficiently.
? The guarantee is also valid if you wash your cookware in a domestic dishwasher. Note, however, that all items with a non-stick coating must always be washed by hand. The stainless steel cookware is dishwasher safe.

What is not covered under this Guarantee?

IKEA HK will provide 10-year Guarantee to the TROV?RDIG cookware series ("this Guarantee")

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects of all TROV?RDIG frying pans. This means that, in normal domestic use and provided that our care instructions are followed, the cookware will still work as well as it did when it was new during the guarantee period. In this instance, normal use is defined as using an item for cooking food and washing it once a day. The guarantee is valid for 10 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

The guarantee will cover:

This guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects of cookware in the VARDAGEN series. This means that, in normal domestic use and provided that our care instructions are followed, the cookware will still work as well as it did during the guarantee period. In this instance, normal use is defined as using an item for cooking and washing it once a day. The guarantee is valid for 15 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

IKEA HK will provide 15-year Guarantee to the IKEA 365+ knives series (¡°this Guarantee¡±)

What is covered under this Guarantee?
This guarantee covers structural manufacturing defects of all knives in the IKEA 365+ series. This means that, in normal domestic use and provided that our care instructions are followed, the knives will still work as well as they did during the guarantee period. In this instance, normal use is defined as using (for cutting food) and cleaning the knife by hand once a day and regular sharpening. The guarantee is valid for 15 years from the original date of the first purchase of the product. In order to rely on this guarantee, proof of purchase by presenting the original sales invoice or the print-out of the online sales order invoice issued by IKEA HK is required to evidence the first purchase and all subsequent replacement.

This guarantee will cover:
? Sharpness of the knife. The knife shall be sharp when you buy it and you will be able to keep it sharp so it can function properly, every day. The knife blade is made of a steel that is hardened so that it is possible to sharpen the knife to original sharpness anytime during the guarantee period.
? Durable handle. The handle of the knife should not crack, break or come loose from the blade so that the knife is not possible to use.

What is not covered under this Guarantee?
? This guarantee does not cover changes in the appearance of the knife unless they have a significant effect on function;
? This guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products;
? This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents;

Love it or exchange it

It takes time to get to know a mattress - at least a month.
That¡¯s why we give you 100 days to sleep on your choice to decide if it¡¯s perfect for you. And if you find that the mattress/mattress pad that you have purchased is not to your liking, you are welcome to exchange for another one, or have your money back!

*100-day mattress and mattress pad trial does not include J?MNA mattresses; all mattress bases; all spring cores, all children and baby mattresses and mattress pads.
